This Humanitarian Assitance Project (HAP) was built in Toledo District located on the west coast of the Caribbean Sea, in Southern Belize. The project was a design-build request for Administration and Staff Quarters for the Belize’s National Emergency Management Organization, near the village of Punta Gorda.
South Belize is a particular challenging location for the extreme tropical weather, hand labor availability and challenging logistic. Most construction and finishing materials are US imported.
This project is the second phase of a greater construction program of Belize’ NEMO, which started in 2014. The facility is responsible for carrying administrative activities regarding emergency preparedness, emergency management, and disasters management functions at a strategic level around the area.
