The project is located inside a Peruvian Navy Base in the city of Iquitos, capital city of Loreto Region. Iquitos is located in the northeastern part of the country and it is considered the largest metropolis within the Peruvian Amazon. However, since it is surrounded by the Amazonas delta, the only commercial access to the city is through the river commercial routes, demanding a very complex logistic plan.
This project was designed to comply with US Standards and it consists of interior and exterior renovation with second floor addition to the administrative wing of an existing building compound, including lab storage, accessioning and hazmat areas, lab freezer, and new 350KVA generator.
Construction required a three-phase plan. Client required its facilities to have uninterrupted services despite the construction works, which involved the conditioning of a swing space outside the existing compound, for temporal client activities..
